Senior Account Executive

AG Salesworks, an innovative and dynamic Sales & Marketing support services firm, is adding a key position to its sales  team. This critical addition to our sales team will serve in a key senior sales role, that will provide excellent upside for successful candidate. We are seeking an extraordinarily talented individual that craves a challenge and is unafraid to venture out of their own comfort zone. A job at a small and rapidly growing company requires a certain level of drive, tenacity and flexibility, but it provides the unique opportunity to work with experienced mentors and learn as much working here in three months as you would most companies in a year or more.

This is an opportunity to get into a great, well established company with a proven 12 year track record while we are still relatively small. To be successful in this role, you must be very hungry, very persistent, and have the ability to overcome objections (ideally you think thats just when the fun begins). You will need to be a quick learner who can become an expert on our service offerings and our market place, and must come across as intelligent and professional. In this role you will need to communicate with successful and accomplished senior executives in high tech businesses and demonstrate why we are the right fit for their business - thus the ability to sell value will be crucial. You will work closely with them throughout the sales process and will be responsible for negotiating price and contract terms. If you are self-motivated, energetic, polished and well spoken, and enjoy the challenge of positioning a solution against numerous competitors, to find ways to differentiate - this role may be a great fit for you. We are looking for a sales person that can manage a broad territory and be able to carry the entire sales process from start to finish on their own merits and skills. This doesn't mean we won't be helping you sell – but we believe strongly in a sales person that has the ability to play all of the important sales roles, from:

  • Knowing how to develop their own pipeline

  • Being confident in selling a $150k annual contract

  • Ability to stay in contact with and nurture those prospects that are not ready to buy

  • Understand the business challenges that our customers face and explain how our solution will solve their specific challenges

  • Demonstrating the value propositions of our services

  • Have an in depth understanding of the Sales and Marketing process and demonstrate how our solutions help our customers solve their problems and reach their goals.

  • Working through the contract negotiation process in terms of both cost and contract specifics

  • Executing at 110% to achieve your quarterly / annual quota

The ideal candidate is someone who has experience selling Sales and Marketing solutions to B2B Sales and Marketing executives but other sales experience will be considered. Established relationships with marketing people at high tech companies is a big plus. The more experience you have here the better, particularly selling demand generation programs, analyst services, IT Media and B2B advertising. Our services are focused on optimizing sales and marketing efforts thus a background in sales and marketing will be a plus.

Though you will receive support from our marketing efforts, this role requires the ability to develop pipeline on your own as well. We are not looking for an account manager or developer but rather an account creator. You have to be hungry, enjoy building a market, and really take control of your patch. It is critical that you are passionate about joining AG Salesworks and not just looking to leave where you are today.

Finally, we are looking for a candidate that is extraordinarily bright and flexible. The best people in small companies usually end up serving in multiple roles as the company grows. Flexibility and a desire to constantly learn and push yourself is absolutely required to succeed in this environment.

Job Qualifications & Desired Skills

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years work experience in a demanding and challenging sales role

  • Experience selling to sales and marketing executives within high-tech B2B businesses

  • Experience selling IT Media / Analyst services / B2B Advertising or sales / marketing / CRM solutions

  • Expert user of current web/online communication technologies, including browsers, search, email, and CRM solutions

  • Advanced user of new and emerging web/online communication technologies, such as LinkedIn, Twitter and other relevant social networks.

  • Knowledge of online marketing techniques, technologies, and media
