Where Do We Start?

The topic of "value" has come up a lot lately. "What value does AG Salesworks provide our clients"? My normal response has been, "we provide our clients with highly qualified sales opportunities". Great, so claims every other Tom, Dick and Harry-organization in B2B Lead Generation. However, as I speak more about AG Salesworks, I've discovered that the value of AG is not in so much ‘
what' we do, but in ‘
how' we do what we do.
Recognizing that has been one of...no scratch that, IS the most rewarding part of being on the Implementation Team at AG. If I knew the tricks of the trade that I know now when I first started working in sales, I would have avoided many restless nights, gray hairs and would have generated a lot more opportunities as well. How do I warm up a cold call? How do I get past this gatekeeper? Are my voicemails too long? How do I find the decision maker? Why aren't they responding to my calls?!
As Rome (nor the Big Dig) was not completed overnight, the perfect BDR is not created from a week of training. Everyone is different, with varying strengths and weaknesses. From what the Implementation Team has learned from our own struggles, successes and varying styles of cold calling, we take a proactive approach and sit with our new BDRs weekly to analyze their method and enhance their performance with our own tips, tricks and secrets to the trade.
Throughout the coming weeks, Jaime, Nicole and I will start posting blog entries that speak further to some of the common struggles we help our BDRs overcome and the ultimate reward that you will reap by taking the time out of your day to sit down and share your sage advice and knowledge.
